Editorial Mnemosyne-CR is a Costa Rican publishing initiative devoted to academic, literary and cultural books in many areas of human knowledge. Its catalogue is open to works in mathematics, social sciences, history, chess, essays, poetry, novels, short stories and other fields of intellectual and creative work.
Our purpose is to accompany authors through the complete process of turning a manuscript into a carefully edited book, presented with dignity and made available to its readers. Each project receives personalized attention, with respect for the author’s voice, the nature of the work and the standards of professional publishing.
Editorial Mnemosyne-CR is based in Costa Rica, but it works with different printing houses and international distribution platforms, allowing books to be printed and circulated in several countries. Depending on the characteristics of each project, the work may remain available for future reprints and may be listed in major online bookstores around the world.
Our editorial team can take care of the various stages of a publishing project: manuscript review, style editing, layout, cover design, preparation of print-ready files, editorial management and general support up to publication. The author may choose the number of copies to receive initially, while the book remains prepared for later printings whenever needed.
Mnemosyne-CR was born with a broad vocation: to preserve, organize and disseminate written memory. Its name evokes Mnemosyne, the classical figure associated with memory, a deep source of culture, language and knowledge. Inspired by that image, the publishing house seeks to offer a serious, welcoming and flexible space for authors who wish to give definitive form to their works.
